This piece is handbuilt [slab built] from paper porcelain which was textured with an uneven stone on the outside. A celedon glaze was applied before reduction firing. Celedon refers to a transparent blue-green glaze that has been used in Asia as early as the Shang dynasty. 5 x 11 inches.
