Stopped at a traffic light I watched a man close to my age (55) glide across the intersection on a skateboard carrying a surfboard. The scene inspired me to create this painting (and a series of others still to be produced). While seeking reference photos for the background, I came across an old photo of the surf shop I frequented as a teenager. It brought me great joy to incorporate it into the scene.
