Monoprint is a print made by applying ink and stencils to a plexiglass plate and then transferring the image to a piece of paper. With these basic printmaking techniques, you will create up to 3 of your own 8 x 10 images. The techniques are fun and easy and produce exciting results.
What You Will Learn:
• proper use and cleaning of printmaking paper, tools
• basic color mixing
• introductory techniques of additive and subtractive methods of ink manipulation
• the fundamentals of print registration
• to play with color, texture, opacity levels, and ink layering
Who Should Participate:
Open to all artistic and printmaking skill levels 18 years or older, this workshop is a good starting point for those new to printmaking in that it will introduce them to basic materials and practices.
